A review of Royal Mail by Kate Cooper written on Wednesday 11th of July 2018
Got a "sorry we missed you" card through the door. The "attempted" delivery time was a time when I was in but I never heard anyone knock or ring the bell, clearly they didn't bother and just stuck the card through the door. So I tried to pick the parcel up from the depot, I currently have no form of transport so I had to walk for about an hour in all this hot weather (or else get a taxi, which would cost money) and then walk back again. So I made a two hour round trip only to be told that they couldn't give me the parcel (not that they didn't have it, just that they couldn't give it to me) because their computer system had crashed. The only other option is to arrange a redelivery but I'm at work for most of the next seven days, the only window of opportunity is Friday morning and clearly Royal Mail can't be relied on to stick to a time like that, if they even bother to try rather than just sticking a card through the door again..
