"Impersonal service and attention"

A review of Currys by Stuart Davies written on Monday 10th of July 2017

I went to Basingstoke store today to buy a washing machine An assistant immediately tried to sell us a machine on offer without discussing our needs. Her manner was quite off hand and the impression we got was one of indifference. We went to John Lewis store later and the difference in the approach from the sales staff was remarkable. Needless to say we purchased a washing a machine from them.

This is the second time I have not been impressed by the service at this store. A few months ago I wanted to buy a laptop and was in the shop at least 15 mins before an assistant bothered to speak to me! No one seemed bothered to serve me or offer advice. Again, I went to John Lewis and the staff could not have been more helpful.

All I can say is, that Curry's have lost in the region of £800 because of poor service.

I am sure your products are of a high standard but the sales procedure and the manner of some of your staff in my experience seems to be very poor..
